This guide provides troubleshooting steps for the most common faults of the ECG series devices.
Common faults include:
Device does not turn on
Black screen
Battery cannot charge
Poor display quality
Printing issues
Abnormal or missing ECG waveforms
Note: For all faults, first check whether corresponding cables or connections are loose or disconnected. Reconnect as needed before further troubleshooting.
Press the power button:
Main faults:
A: Faulty key plate or loose/disconnected lines
B: Power supply board fault or loose/disconnected cables
C: If above checks are OK → motherboard may be faulty
Confirm if the issue is the external power supply or the machine (test with another device).
Main faults:
A: Key plate faulty or lines loose/disconnected
B: Power supply board faulty or cables loose/disconnected
After booting, wait ~10 seconds. Press any key:
If the horn sounds → display screen is likely faulty
Symptoms:
Battery cannot charge
Device works on AC but shuts down immediately when unplugged
Battery symbol shows charging but battery level does not increase
Troubleshooting:
Remove the battery and plug in AC. Measure the battery interface with a multimeter:
Normal voltage: 8.2–8.3V → battery is faulty
No or low voltage → power supply board may be faulty
Measure 12V output at power supply board.
No voltage → power supply board is faulty
Voltage OK → motherboard may be faulty
Symptoms: flower screen, missing rows, abnormal colors, white screen
Possible causes: display screen, display driver board, motherboard
Troubleshooting: swap related components; most likely faulty are display or driver board
Causes: printer or motherboard
Check: paper availability, overheating protection, roller installation, printing door pressure
If all normal → likely printer or motherboard issue
Symptoms: incomplete, weak, intermittent, or missing print
Check: printer paper condition and compatibility
If paper is fine → printer or motherboard issue
Symptoms: no waveform, abnormal waveform, or missing lead waveform
Steps:
Clean skin contact area and electrodes with alcohol
Check for lead disconnection; try another lead wire
If unresolved → motherboard may be faulty
Local memory saves up to ~100 cases
For more cases, insert a USB disk:
Steps: Main menu → Working mode → Priority storage → Select USB disk → Press confirm
